Produced by Château Croizet-Bages, a fifth-classed growth, 2018 Alias has lots of savoury spices with nutmeg, allspice and crystallized ginger lying over a red fruit background. A second wine, Alias is principally made from grapes from the estate’s younger vines. A blend of 44% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, it is firm on the palate and structured with some blackcurrant flavours.
