The Calì family owns both the San Sano and Poggio Maestrino estates in Chianti and Maremma, as well as Poggio Graffetta in Sicily. Calogero Calì was originally a practicing lawyer with a passion for agriculture and wine. In 1981 he purchased his first wine estate in the historic Chianti area. Today, his portfolio has grown expanding into Morellino di Scansano in 2006. The Calì family is committed to producing wines that express the characteristics of the terroir from which they come, with attentive wine-making techniques.
