Sourced from among Chioccioli Altadonna’s best vineyard plots in the Chianti Classico sub-zones of Gaiole in Chianti and Quercegrossa, the Altadonna Riserva 2018 cuvée has impressive depth and complexity. The nose is quite discreet but slowly develops floral and dark fruit aromas interlaced with licorice and hints of cumin. The palate is crisp, taut, and richly layered with fruity, wooded, and spicy nuances all harmoniously balanced. Finishes long and dry. Needs a couple of years to unfurl but should age well for many years to come. 2025-2040 – JB
