A barrel-fermented Chardonnay with spicy oak, pencil lead and cedary notes. It is supple with tropical fruit and pineapple characters. After macerating on skins, grapes were pressed and half was fermented in new oak barrels while the other half was fermented in one-year-old barrels. Floris uses barrels made from oak forests in the centre of France – Nevers and Bertrange – which have a tight grain giving a more elegant character.
