In 1984 – long before Prosecco became the global phenomenon that it is today, Nazzareno Pola founded his family’s estate in the heart of the best zone of production for Prosecco: Valdobbiadene DOCG. Since then, Andreola has played a key role in the transformation of this now famous appellation. Today, Stefano Pola, continues to manage the estate with the same philosophy as his father: a profound awareness of the exceptional history of this region in the production of one of the world’s great sparkling wines. It is a constant labour and the result of the evolution of the vine and its adaptability to the varying terrain and the climatic diversity. Much of the work is still completely manual; it is truly “heroic” viticulture.
