Antichello Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG, 2017

Mellow pâtisserie aromas of vanilla and cooked red fruits are complemented by a savoury edge and dusty oak. A lighter style than many Amarone, it is supple with nice mid palate and long bitter cherry and menthol flavours. 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara grapes from vineyards in the hills around Fumane were dried for three months. After a long slow fermentation, it was matured in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months.
