This enjoyable blend of indigenous Italian grape varieties transports one to a Venetian bacari to raise a glass while watching the gondolas float by. The bouquet is layered with aromas of violet, cherry, strawberry, earthy plum and baking spice. The bright red fruit and oak spice of the bouquet carries through to the palate where it is offset by a touch of dried fruit and leather.
