In Tuchan, rain showers never seem to last long, and as the locals say, “après la pluie, le beau temps.” This unique blend of Grenache and Carignan has a touch of Muscat. This is a particularly special wine as the Carignan is the last lot remaining from Katie’s late husband Jean Marc. With its light cherry hue and light tannins, Katie refers to this expressive, light-bodied wine as a red rosé or a rosé red. It offers youthful aromas of cherry, strawberry, plum and lavender. A thread of minerality weaves through its core of bright strawberry fruit, tailing off into a slightly herbal finish. Serve slightly chilled to accentuate this wine’s bright red berry fruit. 2023-2025–LW
