Blue Rock Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley, 2016

Deliciously approachable while young, Blue Rock Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 will develop greater complexity with time and has the potential to mature for another ten years at least. While restrained in intensity, it has aromas of vanilla, fresh black fruits and a hint of soft calfskin. It is pure with a linear structure which is on the lighter side of medium bodied. It has a fine texture with pure blackcurrant flavours initially followed by nutmeg, caramel and some leafy notes. This is a hugely elegant wine with a long black fruit finish. Made from a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot with 7% Petit Verdot, it was matured for 24 months in barrel
