Bodegas Gutierrez Colosia

Gutiérrez Colosía Bodega was built in 1838 in El Puerto de Santa María. It passed through the hands of various owners until the beginning of the 20th century when it was bought by Don José Gutiérrez Dosal, the great-grandfather of the current generation of the Gutiérrez-Colosía. The winery is the only one to that is right on the shoreline of the Guadalete River and next to the Atlantic Ocean which gives it an advantage with direct access to the both the dry and humid winds from the sea which regulate the humidity within the winery and maintain optimum conditions for ageing sherry.
