A rich and savoury wine with tarry aromas, succulent red fruits and a long savoury soy finish. It is medium to full bodied, smooth with a powdery texture and good balance. Grapes were grown at the Carrasca vineyard in Pesquera de Duero at 710 metres altitude. After a 24-hour cold maceration, the wine was fermented in a combination of wooden and stainless steel vats then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels with 50% new.
