To the west of Touraine is the region of Anjou, around the city of Angers with Cabernet d’Anjou an Appellation dedicated to rosé wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. En Mirabeau is 100% Cabernet Franc grown at the northeastern boundary of the Appellation on a plot with gravel soils. It has a vibrant raspberry colour with herbal green leaf, red fruits and blackcurrant aromas. Its initial sweetness (20 g/l) gives it richness in terms of weight, with red apple flavours and firm acidity.
