An off-dry rosé made from Cabernet Franc, it has earthy aromas of beetroot combined with floral and leafy notes. Sweet red berry and apple flavours are complemented by a savoury finish. Grapes were grown in the northeast of the region on the right bank of the river on gravelly soils. Anjou wines are produced close to the city of Angers. Cabernet d’Anjou is an Appellation specifically for rosé wines produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Cabernet Franc, which can be off-dry or even semisweet.
