Opaque ruby hue. Pronounced nose with camphor, licorice, tar, cocoa powder, small black berries, black pepper, cloves and cedar. This is a carefully constructed and scented red, offering firm tannins and high acidity. The nascent fruit is tightly coiled, showing blackcurrant, black cherry, crushed blueberry, wet stone, black pepper, licorice and dried herbs. Sinewy and still far too young, this will unfurl nicely after a few years in bottle. 2026-2028 – MP
