A developed wine with a mature bouquet of undergrowth, cherry menthol, blackcurrants and smoke. It is medium bodied with a marked acidity, supple tannins and a chewy finish requiring some time to soften. Vineyards in Radda in the heart of Chianti Classico are owned by the Ciampi family. Produced from a combination of 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo, it was vinified and matured in concrete tanks with a very limited use of oak.
