Produced from 100% Ciliegiolo grape, Capoccia has intense floral, muscat aromas with some blackcurrant. It is light- to medium-bodied with light, supple tannins supported by a marked acidity. Ciliegiolo is a grape habitually used in Tuscany as a minor component in blends and is named after the Italian word for cherry. Grapes came from selected plots planted over 15 years ago, mostly on sandy soils rich in silt. This is a flavoursome wine with a characteristic bitter cherry finish.
