A wine with great structure and balance. 2016 was a very good year in Piemonte for Nebbiolo, and this wine is nicely mature with plenty of life ahead of it. Subsequent to selecting it for this offering, it was awarded the top 3 Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso. A mellow bouquet leads to a medium-bodied wine with delicious mid palate fruit. The vines are planted in Castelletto of Monforte d’Alba with south-west and west exposition. Yields are kept low by two thinnings in the vineyards in August. In addition, grapes are also strictly sorted at harvest. Grapes were left to macerate on skins for 40 to 45 days, then the wine was matured in barrels for 30 months.
