A minority proportion of wines produced in Sancerre are red made from Pinot Noir. Not surprising really as Sancerre is at a similar latitude to Dijon. The 2020 is deep in colour with aromas of violets and blackberries. This is not a typical Pinot Noir, marked by the warm temperatures in the run up to, and during, harvest. It is medium bodied with a supple palate and bitter fruit flavours.
