Named after the town of Tours, Touraine is at the heart of the Loire wine region with Tours situated halfway between Sancerre to the west and Nantes on the coast. Touraine is where the Loire and its tributaries, the Cher and the Indre, converge. Soils are varied with Sauvignon Blanc the most planted variety. 2020 Cécile Lebrun Touraine-Sauvignon has intense aromas of white peach, cassis with a touch of smoke. More flinty character comes through on the palate with flavours of tinned grapefruit and a firm acidity.
