The Vouvray Appellation in the west of Touraine produces wines from Chenin grapes in a variety of styles from dry to sweet, still and sparkling. This wine, with aromas of fresh Orange Pippin apple and fleshy white fruits, has 25 g/l, giving it an initial sweet impression countered by a naturally high acidity and zesty lemon flavours. Delicious in its youth, Vouvray can age substantially due to the high acidity, as they do so becoming more honeyed and developing more texture on the palate.
