It’s not that this is the product of a couple of Ontario boys: this is unquestionably really good stuff. The nose is attractive with an intriguing blend of both red and black fruit including plum, cherry, currant Christmas cake. On the palate it is a touch alcoholic, but the fruit is ripe rather than baked and the tannins and acidity – both on the low side – nevertheless all contribute to an appealing glass of red.
