Very young and closed but already showing a gorgeous nose of boysenberry, crushed blackberry, wet stone, liquorice, cooked black cherry and blueberry jam; oak adds a touch of baking spice. Full-bodied and really quite hedonistic, this has velvety tannins and moderate acidity, with pronounced fruit including plum, cherry and mulberry, plus a jammy, open texture. The finish is excellent, suggesting sufficient concentration to age in the cellar. 2026-2030 – MP
