Easy drinking and flavoursome, Les Amandiers 2018 is intense in colour with aromas of cooked red fruits compote, vanilla and some coffee. It is mellow with a supple mid palate. Red fruit flavours on the palate are complemented with a savoury character. Although quite light in structure, it is medium bodied with a long red cherry finish. A blend of 50% merlot, 30% Syrah and 20% Grenache, after a lengthy time on skins, the wine was matured in two-year-old oak barrels for 12 months. A very elegant, perfectly crafted wine.
