Tavel Appellation specializes in producing dark-coloured dry rosé wines which are generally rich and complex compared to other rosés – more akin to light red wine. Château La Genestière 2021 is a deep garnet colour. It is round and smooth with red berry and other ripe fruit flavours with some grip on the finish. Grenache and Syrah grapes were left to macerate on skins for 12-24 hours. The juice was then fermented at 18°C in tank and bottled after four months for freshness.
