Grape Variety

Producer

This estate dates to 1585. Mostly Merlot with 33% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon: 60% of the wine saw new oak, and 10% was aged in amphora. A black ruby, opaque pour, the nose shows mediumplus intensity elements of cassis, espresso, coffee liquor, cream/custard and vanilla. Dry, the palate has a medium-minus acidity, a medium extract, medium fine-textured tannins, a medium body and a still youthful flavour-set of black plum preserve, chocolate, custard and vanilla appearing before a medium finish. 2025-2027–IR
