Chateau Montplaisir

Château Montplaisir is a wine production and tourism property in Valréas – one of the villages in the Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellation, allowed to append its name in recognition of quality of the wines it produces. Benoît Chaignon crafts a range of wines and has renovated the 17th century building to accommodate guests. Three hectares of vines surround the château. All are certified and farmed organically. The 2018 has cooked fruits, red cherries, earth and other mineral notes. It is medium bodied, quite rich with good structure.
