Château Moutin Rouge AOC Graves, 2014

This is a concentrated wine with dark fruits, blackberries, and black cherries, and a touch of vanilla, made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Château Moutin’s 50-year-old vines. It is velvet smooth in texture and remains youthful in nature, with juicy fruit flavours. It is medium bodied with a firm acidity, finishing with flavours of bitter cherries and chocolate. A strict selection of the best grapes was carried out at the time of picking and the wine underwent a long maceration and fermentation. It was matured in new and one-year-old oak barrels for 24 months and will continue to develop in bottle.
