Cinciano Camponi Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, 2019

Lot

3906

Grape Variety

Sangiovese

Producer

Cinciano

Discreet notes of red cherry, sundried tomatoes, and wild herbs gain in intensity with aeration, offering up a classic panoply of Chianti aromatics. The palate is full-bodied and firm with ripe, chalky tannins and tangy acidity that lifts and lengthens the red and dark fruit flavours. Finishes dry, with a pleasant warming sensation. Camponi is the name of Cinciano’s oldest vineyard plot, boasting 50-year-old Sangiovese vines. This Riserva cuvée is aged in traditional Slavonian oak for 18 months, with an additional six months’ bottle ageing before release. 2024-2034 – JB
