Cinciano Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
The warm, sunny weather of the 2018 vintage extended late into the autumn, allowing the grapes to reach very high levels of ripeness. This is evident in the ample, fleshy proportions of the Chianti Classico Riserva 2018. Intriguing licorice and truffle aromas bring nuance to the ripe dark fruit notes of the nose and palate. Finishes dry with subtle, well-integrated oak flavours and lifted acidity. Slightly grippy tannins. Decant well before serving. 2024-2034 – JB

Cinciano Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG
The 2020 vintage, while not as powerful as the 2019, is nevertheless an excellent year for Chianti thanks to a warm, dry growing season. This Riserva is a fine example, showing appealing notes of fresh and dried dark fruit on the nose with complex undertones of tobacco, graphite, cedar, and dried herbs. While the tannins are starting to soften, they remain quite firm. A brisk, muscular wine that will start to reveal its full potential with another year in the cellar, or a couple of hours decanting before serving. 2023-2035 – JB
