A portion of the wine spent six months in French oak. An opaque, deep ruby robe here. Lifted and medium-intensity nose with ink, sugared plum, prune spread, chokeberry, hand lotion and blueberry hard candy. Quite confectionery. Dry with a low acidity and lower-than-medium extract and tannins and a light body, it races through the palate towards an expedient exit with confectionery notes of hard candy and, unusually, sunscreen or hand lotion. 2025-2026 – IR
