A complex, concentrated, full-bodied wine, Cuvée Guilhaume 2018 has intense spicy aromas with ginger, musk, dark cherries, mint, and tarragon. The oak makes its presence known on the palate, but it does not dominate the warm cooked fruit flavours, fine grained texture, and long bitter cherry finish. Made from a selection of grapes from the best vines on the estate, grapes underwent a cold maceration for three days prior to fermentation. It was matured in new French oak barrels for 12 months and is a blend of 45% Merlot, 45% Syrah and 10% Grenache. Drinking deliciously already, it should remain at its peak for some years.
