Bertrand Cormerais at Domaine de la Bretonnière, situated just south of Nantes, farms 23 hectares of vineyards close to the Atlantic coast in the Muscadet-Sèvre et Maine Appellation. His family have been vine growers in the region since 1890. His 2020 has subtle aromas of nectarines, spring blossoms with a touch of honey. It is smooth mid palate with a firm mineral savoury finish and was matured on lees in tank for six months. Vines are planted on granite schist soils with good drainage.
