Grape Variety
Producer
Quite closed and austere at the time of tasting, however, it had some dark fruits and structure, which should allow it to open up with time. After picking, a proportion of the grape bunches were destemmed, with the remaining whole bunches placed directly in tank.Fermentation temperature was regulated with full immersion of the cap. It was matured in a mix of tank and large, old oak foudres.
Domaine de Montangeron AOP Morgon
White pepper, spicy and meaty aromas precede a supple juicy palate. This is a medium-bodied wine, which is quite weighty. It is well-balanced with savoury and fruit flavours. After picking, the grapes were destemmed and put into tank. During fermentation, the grape skins (cap) were submerged in the fermenting juice for maximum extraction.
