Domaine des Remizieres AOP Saint Joseph, 2023

From 40-year-old vines, the wine saw 15 months of barrel ageing with 30% new. The colour here is black-purple and opaque. The nose shows a medium-intensity set of brandied prune, mulberry preserve, black pepper, tar/smoke and toffee. It is dry on the palate with a medium-minus acidity, a medium-plus extract, medium fine-textured tannins, a medium body with a lovely length and medium-plus intensity of flavours of brandied prune, tar/smoke, black pepper, toffee, nut spread and mulberry preserve, closing with a medium finish. 2025-2030–IR
