Opaque purple hue. The bold vibrant plum and cranberry fruit is enveloped in a wonderful velvety texture, while floral notes and a great spicy finish add panache. There's a fair whack of oak in there, too, but the quality of the fruit supports it nicely. Over time, this will recede, but there’s also no reason to wait. 2026-2035 – JA
