From vineyards with 55-year-old vines, the wine spent 12 months in used oak. It shows a very deep ruby, near opaque, robe and medium-intensity multi-facetted aromas of crushed black peppercorn, tar, cold hickory smoke, speck, lard/oil, black olive tapenade, black plum/mulberry preserve, lilac and sorrel. Dry with a medium acidity, the rest of the structure is on the medium-plus side for extract, fine textured tannins and body with a nice presence and persistent flavours that follow the nose – smoke, tar, peppercorn, black olive, plum and mulberry reduction, lilacs and sorrel – arriving at a medium finish. 2025-2032–IR
