When Emmanuel Bouchard’s father arrived in Valréas from Morocco over 50 years ago, he moved the family into an ancient sheepfold which he transformed in a cave and planted his vineyard. A blend of 75% Grenache with 25% Syrah, the 2019 is restrained in aroma with notes of dark fruit, wet stone and herbs. Lavender, cherries and spicy flavours emerge in the glass.
