A dense opaque wine with deep black cherry colour. It has restrained aromas of brambles and coal, which lead to a silky texture with more tart fruits – blackberry and raspberry – emerging. Carignan grapes were grown on 25-30-year old vines on colluvial clay, limestone and schist soils.
