Deliciously mellow with cooked black fruits and vanilla aromas, this wine has lots of charm. It is soft and smooth with bitter liquorice and earthy flavours giving it a savoury edge. The jewel of the crown in the Domaine la Voûte de Verdus range is made from 45% Carignan – considered by the family to be the most suitable for their terroir and climate. This is combined with 45% Mourvèdre and a splash each of Grenache and Syrah. The wine was matured in the naturally humid old vaulted stone cellar in French oak barrels for 12 months.
