Domaine Pichon Père & Fils
Domaine Christophe Pichon vinifies 23 ha on Condrieu, Côte Rotie, Saint-Joseph and Cornas. Red and white vins de pays are also produced. For over 25 years, Christophe Pichon creates finesse and elegance in his wines, which reflect the prestigious terroirs of Roche Coulante or Côte blonde. After studying viticulture and oenology, Corenton joined the family business in 2012. In 2014 he vinified Syrah in Australia for 6 months in the famous Barossa Valley. After vinifying the 2014 vintage in Australia, he came home to vinify the same vintage in France! Corentin vinifies the wines according the the estate’s philosophy (no use of sulfites in white wines). After spending one year in Australia to learn the trade in a 15 ha estate in Tasmania, Alexis came home to work at the Domaine. He would like to have more experience in wine and spirits marketing. Domaine Pichon is in the top 5 of its class in terms of the quality of the wines. It is an ambitious estate looking to be recognized by specialists and become a staple of the Condrieu Appellation. The estate is opening a new, bigger cellar. It will be more structured, modern and more efficient, while staying within the local tradition and built with local sotnes.
