Domaine Tour Campanets
Emmanuelle Baude took over the estate in 2012 and converted the 30ha to organic culture in 2015. History of the property goes back to the 17th century, belonged to “Jacques Blanc de Castillon Seigneur de Bois Vert”. But among the 65 hectares of wood, a Roman house, a chapel were discovered as well as a gothic stele from the 12th century and even two sarcophagus dating from the 4th century. Emmanuelle’s ambition is to get the best she can out of the soil by converting to organic culture. Domaine Tour Campanets was named after the cellar built in 1963-1966, a quite unique round tower. All is done by gravity, 4 levels underground…Harvest is either hand-picked or by machine depending on the plot and age of the vines. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks or in concrete. Traditional winemaking with cold fermentation and managing the oxygen supply, minimum use of sulphites & chemicals. The grapes always come first! Know-how helps us to respect our vines to create an exceptional wine.
