Medium ruby hue. Given this is almost a decade old, it is still very much on its feet. Primary, secondary and tertiary aromas combine in a robust bouquet of ripe blackberry, boysenberry, vanilla, incense, tobacco, violets, forest floor and undergrowth. There are fine tannins and a treasure trove of fruit on the palate, which oozes hearty flavours of coffee, chocolate, cooked black plum and cherry, then floral waves of lavender and peonies, followed by spicy cedar and clove. 2026-2028–MP
