A more restrained wine than the 2015 Duxinaro offered last year, it has appealing cherry menthol, vanilla and red fruit aromas. On the palate it is quite light with an elegant structure. Grapes from the small Encore vineyard in Rutherford were hand-picked in early October 2016. It was matured for 36 months in French oak barrels and has not yet reached its optimum for drinking.
