Encosta do Sobral was produced from 100% Touriga Nacional – Portugal’s flagship grape – grown in the southern Tejo region close to Lisbon. Encosta do Sobral has nutmeg and chocolate aromas with a concentrated ripe fruit palate. It is medium bodied, smooth and round. The Tejo region is named after the Tagus river which moderates the region’s climate, making it more temperate than other Portuguese wine growing regions.
