Festival Meraner, Alto Adige DOC, 2023

Both the grape responsible for this light red and the wine itself are somewhat a local specialty. From 20- to 40-year-old vines. A medium-plus deep ruby color in the glass. The nose features medium-intensity notes of plum cheesecake, gingerbread, oil, dough and chicory root. It is dry with medium acidity, medium-minus extract, light medium-textured tannins and medium-minus body with elements of red plum, chicory root, gingerbread, dough and pink grapefruit preceding a medium finish. A nice summer red, lightly chilled with a cold antipasti and salumi plate. 2025-2026–IR
