Dense in colour, it has aromas of coconut and dark fruits. This is a medium- to full-bodied Merlot which is smooth and brimming with blackberries and cherry fruits. In order to achieve optimal ripeness, the team at Groote Post work hard in the vineyard removing leaves around the bunches of grapes and leaving just one bunch per shoot. This allows the sunlight and heat to fully ripen the grapes in what is one of the Cape’s cooler regions.
