Serendipitous events led to the first bottling of Groote Post’s Pinot Noir Rosé. In 2014, an excess yield of grapes was harvested at ripeness levels that were too high for the sparkling wine for which they were earmarked. They were, however, perfect for rosé: the resulting wine was so delicious that it has been made every year since. This is a cheerful wine with a lively personality of strawberry, watermelon, cherry and rose petal. 2023-2024 – LW
