Valtellina Superiore wines can be produced from five villages deemed to have superior terroir. These steep, south-facing slopes allow the grapes more direct sun exposure, increasing ripening. The 2017 Red Edition was one of my standout wines from this cellar. Vivid aromatics, vibrant freshness, and fine-grained tannins combine to yield a very harmonious, long-lived Nebbiolo with fine structure and lots of finesse. 2023-2030–JB
