A nice medium-amber pour. The nose shows medium-intensity notes of vanilla, honey, butterscotch, dried fig, pear eaux-de-vie, bitter chocolate, rancio, fusil oils and smoke. The palate opens with a soft attack and a nice glycerol presence warming up slowly over time, is light to medium in weight, developing nicely into elements of honey, dried fig, poached yellow plum/pear and smoke, and then exiting with a warm, long butterscotch finish with a low-key coffee/chocolate wafer afterglow–IR
