Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (in California, a wine labelled as Cabernet Sauvignon can have up to 25% of other varieties included), growing conditions at Los Amigos Ranch in Chalk Hill in 2016 were perfect. The grapes were harvested from September 19th to October 1st, 2016. It is mellow with aromas of blackberries, almonds and vanilla. It was matured for 18 months in European and American oak with 13% new. It is smooth with supple tannins, medium bodied with lots of ripe dark fruit flavours and will benefit from some more time in bottle before drinking.
